Marlene M. Smith

Marlene McCoy Smith, 55 resident of Surfside Beach since 1999 and formerly of Seneca, SC died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at her home following a long illness.

Born in Shelby, NC, she was the daughter of Novella McCoy and the late Paul McCoy. Her paternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Isaac McCoy and maternal grandparents, Mr and Mrs Will Bivins preceded her in death.

In addition to her mother, she leaves behind, a loving husband, Jimmy: loving daughter, Stacy both of the home; sister, Camilla Ellis; nieces, Kelli Karl and Shannon and husband Tony Sermersheim; great nieces, Lucy, Zoe, Molly and Mya all of Louisville, KY; brother in law, Woody and wife Kay Smith; nephew, Chad and wife Devon Smith all of Seneca and niece, Ginger Smith of Lexington, SC.

A gathering of friends will be held at South Bay Lakes clubhouse.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Seneca.
