Myrtle Beach-..Phyllis Ann Tomlinson, age 48 of Myrtle Beach was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 26, 2010 at her residence. Phyllis was born in Amityville, New York and lived in Huntington, New York until moving to the Myrtle Beach area in 1986. She was a daughter of the late John and Sally Brunetto Albanese. She was a member of the South Strand Assembly of God, where she was on the Praise and Worship Team. She was also active in choir and children's ministries in other churches that she attended. Phyllis was a 1983 graduate of Adelphia University in Garden City, New York where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She was employed at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for a year, and was an instructor at the nursing department at Coastal Carolina University before she began working at her husband's Ophthalmology practice in Surfside Beach as office manager and office nurse.

Surviving are her husband, Alfred J. Tomlinson, MD; two sons: Alfred Jason Tomlinson, and Andrew John Tomlinson of Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Sherri Lynn Tomlinson of Myrtle Beach; one brother, Anthony Paul Albanese, MD of El Dorado Hills, California; Father-In-Law, A. Jess Tomlinson of Surfside Beach; Stepmother-In-Law, Margaret Tomlinson of Surfside Beach; an aunt, Eleanor Brunetto of Myrtle Beach.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at the South Strand Assembly of God. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Hayes. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Strand Assembly of God, Community Food Bank, 3507 Highway 17 Business, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

In memory of Phyllis, a blood drive will be held at the South Strand Assembly of God at a later date.
