Thomas White

Thomas White age 86, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.

Born in Paris, KY, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie White. Mr. White retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years serving in WWII where he landed in Normandy on D-Day. He also served in the Korean War. Mr. White later worked for the State of South Carolina at the State Hospital. He was an avid fisherman and was a charter member of the Surfside Pier Float Fishing Association.

He is survived by his wife, Lena White of Surfside Beach and a cousin, Della Mae Estepp of Paris, KY.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
