Diane "Sugar" Parker, age 54, and Charles Edward Parker, Sr, age 54, of Hwy. 90, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005. Mrs. Parker was born in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of the late James Frederick and Shirley Elizabeth Gray Mills. She was a member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church and worked as a school secretary for many years with the Horry County School District. Her hobbies included yard sales, looking for antiques, crafts and trips to Spartanburg to see her family. Surviving are one daughter, Bambi Bennett of Myrtle Beach, one son, Charlie E. Parker, Jr. of Conway, two brothers, Billy Mills and his wife, Jane of Inman and Hamilton Stone and his wife, Elaine of Savannah, GA, three sisters, Carolyn Chapman and her husband Rick of Boiling Springs, Lois Horne and her husband, Doug, and Kay Lydia all of Spartanburg, four grandchildren, Dakota, Nathan. Elizabeth and Sophia and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker was born in Conway, a son of Lorraine D. Parker and the late William Lloyd Parker, Sr. He was a member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church and was a member and past Master of the Horry Masonic Lodge # 381 AFM, the Noble of the Shrine of North America and an active unit member of the Omar Vettes in Myrtle Beach. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Mr. Parker was self employed as owner and operator of MIRRORTEC. Surviving in addition to his mother of Conway are, one son, Charlie E. Parker, Jr. of Conway, one daughter, Bambi Bennett of Myrtle Beach, three brothers, William L. "Billy" Parker, Jr. and his wife, Dianne L. of Georgetown, Bruce D. Parker and his wife, Jennifer J. of Conway and Gary Parker and his wife, Janelle of Aynor, four grandchildren, Dakota, Nathan, Elizabeth and Sophia and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at First Baptist Church in Conway with Rev. Mitch Eadge, Rev. David Rickert, Rev. Bill Bagnal and Rev. Lamar Boulware officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
