Anna Marie Sperlbaum, 91, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully at Embrace Hospice House on February 24, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Anna was born January 17, 1933, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the youngest child of the late Michael Hajducko and Mary Pandos Hajducko. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Sperlbaum, and all her siblings. In life, Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She married her devoted husband Raymond in 1957. During Raymond’s service in the United States Army, he was stationed for many years in France. Anna boarded the Queen Mary ship and took the long journey across the Atlantic Ocean to be with her beloved husband. After retirement, Raymond and Anna relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In her leisure time, Anna loved flowers, gardening, going on cruises, and taking vacations. She was also an avid baseball fan and loved the Phillies. She also enjoyed dancing and especially the music of Frank Sinatra and Elvis. She was most fulfilled when surrounded by her family. Anna was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. She was a devout Catholic and was a woman of strong faith. Anna is survived by a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. Survivors include her son Raymond Sperlbaum Jr. and his wife Jacque; her son Jeffrey Sperlbaum and his wife Cherie; her daughter Karen Morrison and her husband Tom; her grandchildren Garrett Sperlbaum, Samantha Sperlbaum, and Kristen Johnson; her great-grandchildren McKinley, Colt, and Case; as well as many other extended family members and friends. A funeral mass to honor Anna will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Goldfinch Funeral Home of Carolina Forest (325 Hinson Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579). Father David Nerbun of Frassati Catholic Church will be officiating the service. Immediately following the service, Anna will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery (1000 Hwy 544, Conway, SC 29526). In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to be made in Anna’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate). Anna was a longtime supporter of the St. Jude charity. Goldfinch Funeral Home of Carolina Forest is honored to serve the family.
