WALTERBORO....Mrs. Annie Ruth O'Quinn Kinard, age 83, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, June 27, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at her son's residence in Conway where she has resided for the past four years. She was the widow of Mr. Robert David Kinard, Sr. Funeral services will be conducted 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, June 29, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the funeral ceremony that afternoon until 5 o'clock in the Harbiston Stateroom of the Mortuary. Mrs. Kinard will be laid to her rest in a private committal ceremony at Glendale Memorial Chapel Mausoleum. Born August 16, 1931, a native of Colleton County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Eugene O'Quinn and the late Pearl Luke O'Quinn. For many years, Annie Ruth was employed at Everett's Pharmacy and was retired from Besteel in Walterboro. She was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church in Walterboro and was a member of Community Chapter No. 206 - Order of the Eastern Star in Islandton. Annie Ruth will be fondly remembered for the never ending whit and love she possessed, always embracing those around her in that true "Southern Lady" style. A great southern cook and hostess, she will always be recalled with touching fondness in the hearts of her family who she always centered her life around. Surviving are: her son, Robert Daved Kinard, Jr. of Conway; two daughters, Debbie Kinard Herndon and her husband Wayne, Sr. and Louise Kinard Lyons and her husband Ricky both of Walterboro; a daughter-in-law; Dee Kinard; and two sisters, Sammie Kubik and Margaret Bennett. There are five grandchildren, Quinn Kinard, Billy Herndon and his wife Dawn, Anna Given and her husband Stevie, and Jaclyn Galloway and her husband Jody; five great grandchildren; and her beloved fur babies, Belle and Lube; as well as an adopted son, J.T. Fleischman and her caregiver, CeCe Davis that also survive.
