On September 19, 2017, Barry Lind Neiman, passed away suddenly at his home. Barry was born in Carson Tech, Brooklyn, NY, on March 27, 1963. Barry was the son of Harold Nieman and Lois Kipness Reccardi and the late Joseph Recarrdi. Barry was a graduate from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island, where he earned an Associate Degree and the title of Certified Executive Chef. Barry moved to the South in the late-1980s and the South became his new home. Although he never lost that strong "Yankee" accent; Barry became more Southern and Southern by the day. Bless His Heart. In 1991, he married Diana Tate Nieman, whom he referred to as a lot of names, including "my lovely." While it is quite difficult to describe the life led by Barry in such few words, there are a number of characteristics that cannot be denied. First, he was devoted. Devoted to his friends, his employers, and most definitely devoted and dedicated to his wife of 26 years. Barry was a hard worker. He gave 110, regardless if his efforts were underappreciated or overlooked. Barry was an extremely proud grandfather of his two grandchildren, Toni Marie Conliffe and William Burns. He could, and would, recite each and every achievement, both big and small. Barry was also a storyteller, or what some would call a tall tale deliverer. He seemed to recall events that no one else could recall. He volunteered to serve those less fortunate. Previously, the Salvation Army had recognized him for performing the most volunteer hours in one year. Barry enjoyed sporting events. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the Clemson Tigers, and especially loved to play golf. Barry lacked one talent. Unbeknownst to him, he lacked the sense of direction. It is for that reason, he was often jokingly referred to as Christopher Columbus. Barry is survived by his mother, Lois Kipness Reccardi; his wife, Diana Tate Nieman; stepdaughters, Deborah S. Tate and Rebecca Tate; son-in-law, Billy Burns; Grandchildren; Toni Marie Conliffe and William Burns; Siblings, Phillip Reccardi and Joanie Neiman; nephews James Reccardi and Liam Delao; and finally a very dear friend who was considered a brother, Heberto Delao; and many other dear friends. Barry's absence will be forever felt. His death shall be mourned for short period. His life shall be celebrated by all. The first celebration shall take place on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Barry's residence. 4347 Lake Front Blvd. Myrtle Beach.
