Bartlett Albert Moudy III, 81, of Loris passed away at his home on the morning of October 5, 2021 with his family by his side. Bart was born on January 31, 1940 in Lackawanna, New York, a son of Bartlett A. Moudy II and Orleana Merwin Moudy. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. In life, Bart was a master mechanic and could fix almost anything. He was very hardworking by nature and also worked in road construction. While in Buffalo, New York, he worked for Holmes & Murphy Caterpillar. He also worked for Caterpillar in Alaska, training others as mechanics to work on big equipment, before he was married. Lastly, he worked for Dickerson & Ryan in Florida until he retired. Bart and his wife Agnes lived in Conway for several years before moving to Loris to be closer to Agnes’s daughter Vicky. Bart’s family describes him as very hardworking but also extremely kind and caring. He took care of everything and always stayed busy tending to the family home, the yard and the vehicles. He continued to work hard and stay busy up until shortly before his passing. He made many friends in the Conway and Loris communities and made an impression on everyone he met with his warm smile and kindhearted ways. He was a generous man who loved his wife and family dearly. Bart is survived by a loving family including his devoted wife of 41 years, Agnes Moudy; his stepdaughter Victoria Fuchs and his son-in-law Edward Fuchs; stepson Ken Kendzior; step-granddaughter Amber Clute; step-granddaughter Ellice Ramm; step-grandson Jacob Kendzior; two great-granddaughters; Bart’s three sons; his sisters Eleanor Carmody and Karen Annunziato; his brother Kirk Moudy; as well as many friends and neighbors. In accordance with Bart’s wishes, no public funeral services will be held. The family will hold a private memorial gathering at a later date. Goldfinch Funeral Home of Loris is honored to serve the family. The family requests that no flowers or gifts be sent to them.
