Bernice A. Gray Conway Mrs. Bernice A. Gray, 77, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. Mrs. Gray was born in Reading, PA, a daughter of the late George H. Adams, Sr. and the late Helen E. Fick Adams. She was affiliated with St. Andrew RC Church of Myrtle Beach, SC, where she was a member of the St. Andrew Women's Club. She was also affiliated with St. Columbkill RC Church of Boyertown, PA, where she was the church lector for 20 years. Mrs. Gray was a member of the LAOH Div. #2, in Boyertown, PA. She served as Vice President of Gilbertsville Home School Association, served as President of Boyertown East Jr. High School PTA, a Cub Scouts Den Mother, Webelos Leader, Camp Fire Girls Leader, Kenhorst Drum and Bugle Corp., and a past member and captain of the Color Guard. Also, she was a Township Planning Agency Member for 25 years, and a Township Planning Agency Secretary for 18 years, and the Township Clerk for 20 years. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Thomas F. Gray of Conway, SC; her sons, Thomas C. Gray of Conway, SC, David J. Gray and wife Tammy and William M. Gray and wife Tracey of Exeter Township, PA; her daughters, Donna A. Kifer of Chapin, SC and Sharon L. Jablonski and husband John of Birdsboro, PA; her grandchildren, Thomas C. Gray, Jr., Mark Gray, Amanda Gray, Makenzie Gray, Gregory Gray, Karena Rattie, Garrett Jablonski, Michael Schmutz, Alisha Kifer, and Morgan Gray; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Sarah Hurd, Helen E. Snyder, and Barbara L. Hertzog, all of Reading, PA. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerome L. Adams, George H. Adams, Jr., and John O. Adams; and one sister, Mae Miller-Dieter. A visitation will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM Monday, May 1, 2017 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with a prayer service at 6:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Reading, PA at a later date.
