Dainta Faye Mew Elledge Faye Elledge(69)of Little River, SC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. Ms. Elledge was born in Loris, SC. She was the daughter of Betty James Mew and the late Dainta Mew. She was known for her jovial disposition, caring and kindness to all who knew her. She was unwavering in her Christian faith. She loved her lord and savior with her whole heart. She was a proud member of Living Water Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center everyday, where she had lots of fun with her mother and friends, playing bingo, cards, and board games. She loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. To know her was to love her.As a young woman, she graduated from Marion High School in 1972. She moved to N. Wilkesboro, NC soon after high school. She lived there until 1992 while married and raising her two daughters. Those bearing her legacy in addition to her beloved mother, Betty Mew, of their home, are her two daughters, Stephanie Upchurch and husband Bobby of Mooresville, NC and Bettina Wilson of Smyrna, SC. Five grandchildren, Hayley and Judge Wilson, and Evan, Bailey and Blake Upchurch. Two brothers, Stephen Mew and Jean of Atlanta, GA and Philip Mew of Little River, SC. One niece, Samantha Mew of Washington, DC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 27th at Living Water Baptist Church with Pastor Lebron Crisp officiating. Burial will follow at Devotion Gardens Cemetery in Mullins, SC. The family would like to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to McLeod Hospice House for their compassionate comfort care. The family would also like to thank the incredible teams at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River and McLeod Medical Center in Florence, SC. Ms. Elledge's family and dear friends find comfort in knowing she is fully healed and in the presence of her savior. But they will miss her everyday until they get to see her again. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Living Water Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
