It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Bonnie McClelland (nee Koushel) of Murrells Inlets, SC, who left this world on August 30, 2023. Dale touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on October 28, 1947 in Philadelphia, some of her fondest childhood memories included playing stickball with the boys in the neighborhood to dancing up a storm on American Bandstand. Her over 30 years in the travel industry began in Pittsburgh, where Dale was affectionately known as ´”Bus Lady”. Her dedication to her customers through her many business endeavors turned Pittsburgh into a premier travel destination for thousands of motorcoach travelers, showcasing her commitment to providing unforgettable experiences. After moving to Missouri, she discovered her passion for cruising, where she worked tirelessly to share her love for exploration and adventure with others. Nothing was more important to Dale than her family. With loved ones spread across the country, she was determined to attend various events. From band concerts to dance recitals, sporting events to important milestones, her presence was a constant source of support and love. Her unwavering commitment showcased the depth of her caring and the strength of her bonds. At the heart of her journey was her beloved husband, Dennis. Their love story began with a bond in the real estate industry, a connection that led to a lifetime partnership. Dale and Dennis shared an inseparable bond, a marriage that flourished and deepened over the years. They loved doing everything together, from spending time with their dear friends to traveling the world, usually on a cruise. Their companionship was evident even in the simple moments, like enjoying each other’s company while watching Jeopardy or turning on the latest Hallmark movie. Dale was a loving wife to Dennis, parent to Marci (Damon), Jeffrey (Lisa), Denny (Brittany), seven grandchildren Shane, Cody, Brandon, Danny, Reagan, Andrew, Avery and two great grandchildren Deyonna and Jorden. In accordance with Dale’s wishes, her family has chosen cremation and a “final cruise” with a burial at sea service, a reflection of her love of open waters. Instead of a traditional service, her family invites you to celebrate her life by making a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Network (pancan.org) in her honor. Rest in peace, dear Dale. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
