Our beloved David Lee Galloway passed away at age 56 from Kidney Cancer on Saturday, July 20, 2024, surrounded by family. Surviving are his wife Kelly Galloway; and three daughters, Caitlin Haller (Alexander) of Homosassa, FL., Madison Galloway, and Samantha Galloway, both of Thompson's Station, TN; two step-daughters, Megan Pfizenmayer of Seneca, SC and Macy Pfizenmayer of Gainesville, FL; one grandson, Cameron John Haller; one brother, Jim Galloway (nephew Philip and niece Kelsy) of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a sister, Barbara Galloway (niece Tina) of Belton, SC; in-laws Joseph and Maureen Murphy of Conway, SC; Brother and Sister-in-law, Daniel and Brandi Murphy (niece Cate) of Myrtle Beach, SC and his best bud and loyal companion, Rosco. Born April 23, 1968, in Greenville, SC he was the son of the late James Howard Galloway and Donna Ellen Pickett. David spent most of his life working in sales with Consolidated Electrical Distributors. He was an avid golfer, a hardcore Alabama football fan, "Roll Tide!", a huge car enthusiast, an ink pen lover, and had a passion for exploring cemeteries and their history. David was a girl dad, with five girls in total. He loved being a sideline soccer coach to his girls, Caitlin, Madison, and Sami, teaching Megan about cars and how to change a tire and always encouraging Macy to expect nothing but the best for herself. I am most grateful for the relationship with his oldest, Caitlin, they were the best of friends. On July 21, 2022, Caitlin blessed us with a grandson, Cameron John Haller more affectionately known as "Cam Cam" or "Jr." because he's the spitting image of his dad Alex. He finally got his boy and he was his pride and joy! David was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, papa, and friend. The most selfless man; such a goofball with his pig-making and tire-screeching noises. He had a passion for life, never wanting to waste a moment of any day. He will forever be remembered as our "Galloway!" Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will be hosting a Celebration Life Reception with food directly after the service at the home of Daniel and Brandi Murphy at 116 Abcaw Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home; before the service.
