Dateline...Conway Donna Lynn Oliver McDonald, age 52, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 after an extended illness at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Donna was born July 29, 1963, she was a daughter of Bobbie Jean Brooks Oliver, of the home, and the late Francis Earl Oliver. She graduated from Conway High School and also Horry Georgetown Technical College. When not working with the printing industry, she was a homemaker. She was also of the Christian faith. Donna loved her family with all of her heart, as well as her puppy Sam. To her daughter Amanda, one of her greatest accomplishments was being the world's greatest mother ever. She was loved very much by her mother Bobbie Jean Oliver, who took care of her at home. Donna was the loving mother of Amanda Leanne McDonald; was the wife of Jerry McDonald; daughter of Bobbie Jean Oliver; sister of Becky Stevens and husband Craig, all of Conway; a special sister in law, Judy McDonald of Summerville, SC; aunt to Nichole Gore and husband Danny of Conway; Jennifer Coker and husband Jonathan of Tabor City, NC; Kelly Ammons and husband Jonathan of Conway; Carol Alexander; and nephew Wayne Kinard both of Summerville, SC. Donna was predeceased by her grandparents William Earl and Alice Oliver of Conway; and Jessie and Irene Brooks of Aynor. A funeral service to celebrate Donna's life will be held at 11 :00 AM on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Mack Hutson and the Rev. Ed Daniels officiating. A committal service will follow at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all who sent cards, called and most of all, prayed for Donna each and every day. Also they would like to extend their gratitude of thanks to the staff of Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
