Conway-.Dorothy (Dottie) Jenkins was born on January 11th 1926 in Akron, Ohio and passed away in Conway South Carolina on May 15th 2010 at the age of 84 due to complications with age. Dottie was the daughter of the late Irene and Cecil Tindle and loving wife to deceased William (Bill) Jenkins. They were married in Morganville, Kentucky where Joe and Jenny Arnold witnessed the wedding. Dottie was raised in Chandler Indiana and served and supported her country proudly as a worker in the Evansville shipyards. She then worked at JCPenny in Joliet, IL until she retired. Her hobbies included collecting Mickey Mouse paraphernalia and Precious Moments figurines. She was also an expert at crocheting and was a master seamstress. Dottie was a very religious person and enjoyed bible studies at Pine Grove Baptist Missionary Church and lunch dates with Catherine and Doris. She will be remembered frequently by her loving daughter Mary Jo Brehn, and her best friend, Mike Bouchette, her son, Tony Jenkins and Dan Grant, her long time friends and all those that knew and loved her. Her grandchildren, Scottie Leigh who preceded Dottie, Katie Jo and her fiancÃ©, OP Khanduja, Jason and his wife, Morgan and all enjoyed her witty personality and playful winks that made them smile. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Dottie was a firm believer of do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. Her contagious smile, deep compassion, kindness and gentle way, all shone brightly through her favorite character, Mickey Mouse who was also one of her hero's.
