Myrtle Beach… Elizabeth J. Oleshak, 76, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully at home on February 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer, a battle she fought with the same spirit she brought to everything in life. Born in Valley City, ND, on October 6, 1949, "Betty" was raised in Monmouth County, NJ and Levittown, PA. she was a 1968 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, PA, and had been a resident of Myrtle Beach for the past eight years. In her youth, Betty found joy participating in Rainbow Girls, various drum and bugle corps, and cosmetology school. Betty dedicated 17 years to ARMDS in Clifton, NJ, retiring as a Senior Manager in medical accounts receivable collection. Outside of work, she was an avid golfer and a lifelong NASCAR fan. A passionate supporter of all Philadelphia sports teams, she especially cherished attending the Phillie's spring training in Clearwater, FL. Above all, Betty loved music, reading, traveling, games and puzzles, crafting, the simple peace of the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, and she had a deep fondness for lighthouses. Known for her quick wit and a wonderfully quirky sense of humor, Betty had the knack for finding the fun in any situation, ensuring that her home was always filled with as much joy as it was with love. Daughter of the late John P. Super and Doris Henderson, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 20 years, John Oleshak. She is also survived by her daughters, Stephanie DuPont (Eric) and Christina Cooper; stepdaughters, Jennifer Cannon (Anthony) and Jaime Brisendine (Roy); stepson, John Oleshak, Jr.; and her brother, Charles Super (Beth). Grandma Betty was the adored grandmother of eleven: Justina (Tyler), Eric Jr., Lena (Damien), Sydney, Alex, Andrew, Grant, Alexis, Avery, David, and Reagan; and the proud great-grandmother of Rose and Mae. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. She joins her parents, John and Doris Super; her brother, Steven Super; and her stepson, Jeff Oleshak, in eternal rest. In keeping with the family's wishes for a quiet remembrance, the memorial service and interment will be private ceremonies for immediate family only.
