Elnita E. Floyd, age 86, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her residence. Born August 3, 1931 in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Brookie Heniford and Bessie Elizabeth Roberts Edwards. Mrs. Floyd was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved to travel and was a constant encourager. She enjoyed working in her flowers, baking, and loved giving to those in need. Mrs. Floyd was a faithful member of Juniper Bay Baptist Church. She worked for AVX for 31 years. Along with her parents, Mrs. Floyd was predeceased by four brothers, Henry, J.D., McArthur, and A.B. Edwards; and two sisters, Emmaline Mincey and Virginia Lawson. Surviving are two sons, Ricky Floyd (Mona) of Conway and David Floyd (Tammy) of Charleston; four daughters, Glenda Johnson (David) of Loris, Sherry Bradley (Joe) of Lexington, Sandra Floyd of Conway, and Sheila Heisler (Neal) of Myrtle Beach; 13 grandchildren, Kirk Johnson (Carolann), Eric Johnson (Angelia), Jennifer Tyler (Tim), Holly Thorpe (Sean), Tray Floyd, Wesley Benton, Corey Benton (Connie), David "Bud" Floyd (Kelley), Brandy Richardson (Wayne), Detra Martin, Karena Thomas, Sabrina Hooper (Perry), and Christina Dent (Cal); 12 great grandchildren, Colin, Cayleigh, and Caeden Richardson, Anthony and Brantley Graham, Hunter, Michael, and Mia Benton, and Luke, Elaina, Easton, and Ava Johnson; two brothers, Frankie Edwards (Shirley) and Brookie Edwards, both of Conway; and three sisters, Leona Alford, Mary Jane Bessant (Thomas), and Betty Jo Ludlam, all of Conway. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, June 1, 2018 at Juniper Bay Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Hord and Rev. Stuart Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
