Faye Gordon Faye Annette Wade Gordon age 63, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born in Wewoka, OK, she was a daughter of the late U.S. retired Col. James and Vivian Wade. Faye attended kindergarten thru the 8th grade at Military schools in Japan and High school in Fort Bragg, NC, she graduated in Heidelberg Germany. She attended college at the University of Maryland (Stuttgart, Germany chapter) with an Art Degree. She attended college in Fayetteville, NC with a Cosmetology Degree and the NVCC with a Nursing Degree, Magna Cum Laude she worked her residency at Manassas, VA. Faye received a certificate for Transliterator for the deaf in Fredericksburg, VA. She was an ENT nurse for 5 years in Fredericksburg and worked at the Spottsylvania County, Stafford Fredericksburg, Gallaudet University as Transliterator for 15 years. Her interest were varied and her talents many, which she shared freely with her community, friends and church. She loved music and learned to play several instruments. Her beautiful alto voice became part of her church choir, several trios and quartets. She loved creating, whether it was designing, sewing, sculpting, painting, directing community theaters or church dramatizations. Survivors include her husband, Ronald E. Gordon of Murrells Inlet; sons, Ryan W. Gordon of Washington DC and Matthew K. Gordon of Washington DC; a brother, James M. Wade, Jr. and his wife Paulette of Gurley, AL; a sister, Carolyn S. Kuhlaw and her husband Richard of Roxbury, NY and a grandson, Parker Deal of Conway, SC. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel with Reverend Bob Taylor officiating. A reception will follow in the Goldfinch Reception Center. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
