Conway… Geneva Capps Harrelson, age 91, wife of the late Joseph Earl Harrelson, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Mrs. Harrelson was born July 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Troy and Katherine Squires Capps and stepmother, Edith Capps. She retired from Horry County Schools with thirty years of service as a cafeteria worker. Mrs. Harrelson loved her activities and friends at Oak View Rehabilitation, where she resided. She loved church service, bingo, getting her hair and nails done, and going to therapy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the great people who worked with her daily and that took part in her care giving. It is truly appreciated. Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Harrelson was predeceased by infant twin boys, Joseph and Joshua Harrelson; three brothers, Jessie Clarence Capps, Jennings Capps, and Troy Capps; a sister, Izzie Capps Brown; and a sister-in-law, Frances Harrelson. Mrs. Harrelson is survived by one son, Jerry Earl Harrelson (Paula) of Myrtle Beach; two daughters, Patty Harrelson Shelley (Martin) and Charlene Harrelson Hucks (Terry), all of Conway; three sisters, Dru Strickland Ackerman (Marc) of Charleston, SC, Milner Strickland (Norman) of Huger, SC, and Joyce Farmer of Georgia; sisters-in-law, Claire Capps of Conway, Brenda Capps of Charleston, Helen Wakefield and Jean Harrelson Jordan, both of Conway; a special niece, Sandra Gail James of Conway; six grandchildren, Brandy Bukauskas (Joe), Katie Shelley (Jonathan), Rachel Wuellner (Nathaniel), Adam Harrelson (Savannah), Jonathan Harrelson (Logan Grace), and Sara Harrelson; seven great grandchildren, Seth Martin (Olivia), Keegan Spivey, Laine Spivey, Abigail Hucks, Peyson Bukauskas, Sofia Wuellner, and James Wuellner. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
