In Loving Memory of Jane Todd Bell Jane Todd Bell, age 76, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2023, in the care and company of her loving family. Born on July 20, 1947, in Conway, Jane was the daughter of the late J.M. And Lela Todd. Her life was a testament to her passion for education, service, and those she loved. Jane devoted her life to serving others through her roles as a wife, mother, friend, and teacher. She was a beloved schoolteacher for 28 years, primarily helping special needs students. In addition to her rewarding work as a teacher, Jane was involved in operating her family's motel, The Comet Motor Inn, where she enjoyed making many new friends. Jane's greatest joy, however, was found in her family. She shared 48 years of unconditional love and companionship with her devoted husband, Robert. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. In addition to her husband, Robert, Jane is survived by her four loving children: Judy Thomason (Jamie) of Columbia, Kelly Rainsford (Matthew) of Columbia, Robert Bell, Jr. (Kimberly) of Lexington, and James Todd Bell (Jennifer) of Columbia. Her stepchildren, Holly Bell of Latta and Ronald Bell (Melissa) of Seymour, TN, were also an integral part of her family. Her memory will be cherished by her seven adoring grandchildren: Tyler and Kenley Thomason of Columbia, Hannah Jackson of Latta, Reed Bell of Lexington, and James, Lela, and Elinor Bell of Columbia. Jane also loved all of her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as all of her dear friends. Jane's love and guidance will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she loved for generations to come. She was predeceased by her mother, Lela Tyler Todd, father, James M. Todd, and sisters Theta and Judy Todd. A visitation will be held at Free Worship Church, 5205 Hampton Rd, Conway, SC, on Tuesday, November 28 at 2:00pm with the service immediately following at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Free Worship Church, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or Shriners Hospitals for Children in Jane's honor. Jane's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her legacy of love and devotion will endure in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
