Janet Lee Dalton, cherished wife of Delbert Dalton, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024. Born on May 2, 1956, to George and Grace Muckle in Steubenville Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace Muckle her granddaughter, Audrianna Owenby and a son in law, Charles Kinney. Janet lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. Janet and Delbert Dalton were high school sweethearts united in marriage in 1972, and their bond grew stronger with each passing year. Janet was a loving mother to Stephanie, Randy and Jammie and embraced the role of grandmother with unmatched joy. She found immense happiness in cheering on her grandchildren during their many sporting events, where she was their biggest fan. Known for her passion for bowling, Janet spent countless hours working and bowling at the lanes, forming lasting friendships and creating cherished memories. Beyond her immediate family, many affectionately called her "Mom," a testament to her nurturing spirit and the impact she had on those around her. Janet will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Delbert Dalton, her children Stephanie Feagin, Randy Dalton (Chandra Thacher) and Jammie Dalton (Candice Dalton), her siblings George “Bo” Muckle (Nancy Muckle), Ruth Ann Turner, Lynn Duncan (Ted Duncan). Her grandchildren David Feagin, Kaleb Thacher, Luke Dalton, Hattie Dalton (Mitch Phillips), Isaac Dalton, Natalie Dalton, Charlotte Dalton, Madison Dalton, Mason Dalton, and great grandchildren David Feagin Jr and Flynn Phillips, along with a host of extended family and friends who were fortunate to know her warmth and kindness. A viewing will be held Monday June 24, from 5-7 pm at Goldfinch Funeral Home Beach Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 25 at 11:00 AM with pression to Hillcrest Cemetery for burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org in Janet's memory. Janet Lee Dalton's legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is assisting the family.
