Jean Cecelia Forlano, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was born, Jean Cecelia Coghlan, November 24, 1928 and raised in the Yorkville Section of New York City. She attended schools in New York City; New Jersey and went to Middlesex College in New Brunswick, New Jersey for a Business degree for 2 years. She and her sister Kathleen “Kit” Maloney sang on W.W. R. L. Radio with “Aunt Martha’s Children Hour” and performed with the Czechoslovakian T. J. Sokol Group with actor Paul Muni in “The Murder of Lidice” while living in New York City as well as U.S.O. during the second World War. While living in New Jersey, she worked for Carter Products; E.R. Squibb and Sons; North Brunswick Township Board of Education; Piscataway Township Board of Education; Miller Home Center Stores; was President for four years of Fellowship Farm School P.T.A. in Piscataway, New Jersey; an Administrative Assistant for over 26 stores Rickel Home Center Stores, an Assistant Leader to her daughters Brownie Troop and Co-Leader of their Junior and Cadets Girl Scout Troop. While living in Richmond, Virginia she worked for Finley Office Supplies; was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital and a member of Circuit City Woman’s Association. She was active in the Woman’s Bowling Association in New Jersey; Virginia, Georgia, and South Carolina being Treasurer of the Woodlake Village Bowling League for four years. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church; Woodlake Village Bowling League; the Original Thursday Ladies Luncheon Group and the American Association of Retired Persons. She was predeceased by her parents Russell and Antonia Watson. She is survived by her beloved husband Frank; daughter Judith-Anne Ferreira (Fernando) of Sanford, Florida; daughters Eileen Phillippi and Annette Perrone of Richmond, Virginia; Sons Daniel Forlano (Lissa) of Summerfield, North Carolina; Nicholas Forlano (Teresa)of Richmond, Virginia; and daughter Carol Forlano of High Point, North Carolina. Grandchildren;: Jason (Sarah) Ferreira from Waxhaw, North Carolina; Erik Ferreira (Cathy) of Sanford, Florida; Kevin Ferreira (Brittney) from Henderson, Nevada; Kyle (Cristian) Prado; Joshua Jenkins; Ilene Jean Cubby (Tyree), Chrissy Phillippi, Russell Phillippi of Richmond, Virginia; Christopher Forlano from Columbia, South Carolina and Kate Forlano of Greensboro, North Carolina; Also, great-grandchildren: Jahiem “J.J.” Jackson, Ella Phillippi, Natalie Prado, Cody Alford, Mason Alford and Mea Cubby of Richmond, Virginia, James Forlano of Summerfield, North Carolina; Nikki and Terra Ferreira of Henderson, Nevada; and Luke Ferreira of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Her sister, Kathleen “Kit” Maloney from North Brunswick, New Jersey and her niece, Deborah (Richard) Allen of Somerset, New Jersey. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM Monday, June 28, 2021 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at St. Michael Catholic Church.
