Conway... JOYCE JOHNSON PRINCE She is safe in the arms of Jesus! Joyce Johnson Prince, 80, entered Heaven's Gates on May 14, 2020. She was born on October 17, 1939, the oldest daughter of Joe and Wilhelmina Johnson. The most important things in her life were her relationship with her Lord, her family, her church, and her Bible Study group, Women of Virtue. Friday Family nights at her house were legendary and laid a strong family foundation that will carry on. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandma, and friend. She loved praise and worship music, crossword puzzles, singing, and getting cards from friends. She loved rocking on her porch and watching the birds at her birdfeeder. Monthly gatherings with her brothers were very special to her. She loved the Conway Marina and the mountains of North Carolina. Her most recent joy was the birth and successful heart surgery of her great-granddaughter, Elaine Jordan Smith. She was able to hold and love her little miracle and praised the Lord for His healing hand on sweet Elaine. She was a member of Jamestown Baptist Church and the Hope Sunday School Class. She witnessed for her Lord wherever she went and her greatest wish was that all her friends and family accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, SW "Bo" Prince, her parents; sister, Linda Johnson Hucks; brother, Dickie Johnson; Nephews, Jason Hucks and Scott Johnson, Sisters-in-law, Annette Johnson and Cora Prince Jackson; and in-laws, Sam and Ruth Prince. She is survived by her four children: Cindy (Cliff) Galloway, Susan (Burman) Jones, Dean (Sandra) Prince, and Tim (Candice) Prince; Grandchildren: Beth Smith (Chad) Tyler, Joshua (Bethany) Smith, Jonathan (Kayla) Smith, Sarah (Trapper) Jones Myers, Erik (Dana) Prince, Nick (Lauren) Prince, Renee (Ryan) Prince Ferrell, Sara (Morgan) Prince, and Sam Prince; Great-grandchildren: Ben Tyler, Elaine Smith, and (soon) Roman Ferrell; Brothers: Jimmy (Emma Lou) Johnson, Tommy (Renee) Johnson, Gene (Cookie) Johnson; Brothers-in-law: Clyde Jackson and Wayne Hucks; Sister-in-law, Joan Johnson, and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Jamestown Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2501 Ninth Avenue, Conway, SC 29527. Due to current health concerns, no service will be held at this time. The family asks that each of you find a special way to celebrate her life and her Lord.
