Keith Manning Collins May 27, 1974 – June 22, 2026 Keith Manning Collins, age 52, of Conway, SC, passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2026. Born on May 26, 1974 in Summerville, SC, Keith was the beloved son of Donald Manning and Eva Margarette "Midge" Plexico Collins. He grew up in Summerville and was deeply influenced by a family heritage rooted in family and faith. He often shared stories of cherished times with his grandmother, uncles and aunts and cousins. Keith graduated from Summerville High School, and went on to attend Charleston Southern University where he earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in business administration. Throughout a career spanning over 30 years, Keith worked in sales and management and never met a stranger. He touched the lives of many employees, co-workers and customers and he is fondly remembered for his mentorship, leadership, friendship and service. Beyond professional success, Keith found great joy in church ministry and his family. He spearheaded the Union with the Congo fundraiser for over a decade and through his efforts thousands were blessed with clean drinking water. Family was the center of his life. Keith cherished time spent with his loving wife, children and extended family. He loved watching his children shine and supporting their dreams, whether at horse shows, volleyball games, or choral concerts. He was always their biggest fan. Keith spent years in competitive martial arts and enjoyed afternoons on the golf course. He also enjoyed time on the boat with family and friends. Raised learning to fish and water ski on the Tail Race Canal, he passed his love of the water to his children. They often spent days on the river and off shore fishing together. He was also an avid Gamecock fan and always held out hope that next season would be better. He was a devoted member of Union Methodist Church and touched many lives through service, generosity, faith, and friendship. Keith is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Dr. Nancy Harper Collins, their children, Margaret Elizabeth and Harper Manning; uncles, Kenneth B. Plexico (Annette), John O. Plexico (Helen); in-laws, Burch A. and Linda L. Harper; sisters-in-law, Dr. Jennifer L. Harper (Allison) and Kathryn H. Sligh (David); nephews, Burch, John and William Sligh; and numerous cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, James LeRoy Plexico and Margaret Prevatte Plexico; uncles, James L. Plexico, Jr. (Shirley); and aunts, Jo P. Pringles, Catherine P. Payne, Barbara P. Crosby (Edward), and Martha Simmons (Romie). A funeral service will be held at Union Methodist Church on June 28, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will take place in the Fellowship Hall 1:30 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Methodist Church, 4491 Hwy 701 South, Conway, SC 29527.
