LORIS….. Mr. Linwood Keith “Rawhide” Watts, age 64, of Trotter Ridge Road went home to be with the Lord Monday morning, November 20, 2006 at Loris Community Hospital following a lingering illness. Mr. Watts was born October 3, 1942 in Tabor City, NC a son of the late Levy Ottiewell Watts and the late Evelyn Soles Watts. He was a devoted Christian and a member of Lawndale Baptist Church and was a great witness for the Lord. Mr. Watts loved his family, his friends, his church family and his church and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was a generous man and loved to help anyone who was in need. Mr. Watts was loved by everyone in the Loris and Tabor City communities and he was a “big man with a tender heart.” Mr. Watts was predeceased by one brother: Norman Watts and one sister: Florene Stevens. Survivors include his wife of 40 years: Ernestine Duncan Watts of the home, two daughters: Lorinda Lynn Grainger and her husband William of Columbia, SC and Amanda K. Cooper and her husband Chris of Loris, four brothers: Billy Watts of Loris, Winston Watts and his wife Patsy of Loris, Levy Watts and his wife Betty of Tabor City and Randy Watts and his wife Helen of Tabor City, three sisters: Diane Watts and her husband Don of Loris, Mildred Fowler of Loris and Allene Rogers and her husband Billy of Loris, one granddaughter: Candia Nicole Grainger and her fiancé Allen Berley of Newberry, SC, a sister-in-law: Elizabeth Watts of Tabor City and many special friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Ward Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Johnson and Mr. Chris Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the Myrtle Green Cemetery in Tabor City. The family would like to thank Dr. Mahajan and the entire staff of Coastal Cancer Center in Loris for their concern and care for Mr. Watts during his illness. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or to the Lawndale Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Rev.
