Conway… Lois Ann Todd peacefully passed into eternal rest surrounded by family on September 24, 2023. She is survived by Kermit Davis 'KD' Todd, her loving husband of sixty three years, and her three sons, Ricky Allen Todd, Kermit Randal Todd (Lisa) and Marion Tracey Todd (Paulette). Foremost, she was a devoted wife and mother with family at the center of her life. She will be missed and fondly remembered by so many people that her life touched. Lois was born in Darlington, South Carolina and she moved to Conway at an early age with her family. She graduated from Conway High School and the University Of South Carolina School Of Nursing with honors. She had a long career as a registered nurse committing her life to patient care especially in the area of dialysis. She became the Director of Nursing for Fresenius Kidney Care and supervised the opening of a number of dialysis clinics in Horry County. Lois was an active life-long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church; she loved studying the Bible. She graduated from Langston Bible Institute, and she was a skilled and beloved teacher for adults and children. She particularly enjoyed incorporating historical background into adult lessons and helping children with their knowledge and application of scripture through the Bible drill program. Throughout her adult life, Lois loved to travel. She shared her faith and love for helping others through medical mission work in Haiti, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Trips to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, England, France, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany and Italy were opportunities to explore her passions for history and being with friends and family. She especially loved visiting Guatemala with her sister, Kay, and traveling to Europe with the students at Conway Christian School, where her granddaughter Valerie and grandson Kelly graduated. Lois is also survived by her brother Marion Harding 'Tad' Weatherford (Linda), of Hartsville, and her sister Janice Kay Twombley, of Mount Pleasant. She had six grandchildren, Valerie Nicole Rachels (Chris), William Davis Todd, Richard Kelly Todd, Megan Brooke Moore (Luke), Karson Davis Todd and Jackson Davis Todd. Lois had three great grandchildren, Marleigh Strayhorn, Israel Strayhorn, and Charlie Beth Moore, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Celia Alice Todd, her brother, Michael Wayne Weatherford (Mary), her brother-in-law Dr. Mike Twombley, and her parents, Lois Elizabeth Weatherford and George Marion Weatherford. The family will receive friends Friday, September 29, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Kinlaw and Rev. Mack Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
