Margaret Rose McGouey, 86, left this Earth Friday, September 22, 2023. Margaret was born May 11, 1937, in Uddingston, Scotland to the late Arthur and Bridget Curran. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, with a deep love for her family, who unfailingly served as matriarch and role-model. As a classy woman with a strong will and high standards, Margaret lived her life as a funny, lively and independent woman who spoke her mind and extended friendship to all those in her path. Always in the middle of things, she loved to have fun and in her later years enjoyed sneaking away to Atlantic City or Vegas to try her hand on the slot machines. She also enjoyed mahjong, canasta, golf, and laughs over a glass of chardonnay with friends and family. She rarely ever missed Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy and was quite good at playing along. She was preceded by her first husband William Kuprian (1990), her second husband Robert McGouey (2013), her grandson Keric Kuprian (2018) and her son Brian Kuprian (2019). Margaret is survived by 4 of her children, Kathleen Husfeldt (Spouse Robert Husfeldt), Kenneth Kuprian (Spouse Julie Kuprian), Keith Kuprian (Spouse Michele Kuprian), Margaret Husfeldt (Partner John Kubik). 15 of her grandchildren (in order of birth) Shawn Kuprian, Cody Schatzle, Kristin Husfeldt, Robert Kuprian (Thitima Kuprian), Kassie Wakefield (Chase Wakefield), Ashley Zemaitis (John Zemaitis), Khynna Kuprian(Ian Smith), Erika Husfeldt, James Kuprian, Kurt Husfeldt (Amanda Husfeldt), Robert Husfeldt, Bryan Kuprian, Kupr Kuprian, Kasey Kuprian, and Kori Kuprian. Her 13 great-grandchildren (in order of birth) Keira Husfeldt, Riley Wakefield, Bobby Kuprian, Kayla Kuprian, Peter Kuprian, Cameron Wakefield, Connor MacDougall, Isabella Husfeldt, William MacDougall, Aubrey Husfeldt, Noa Smith, Kai Smith and Johnny Zemaitis. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday September 28, 2023, at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. The reception will follow the Mass at Goldfinch Funeral Home Celebration Center. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is assisting the family.
