In Loving Memory of Maria Cathy Lanzer It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Maria Lanzer, who left us peacefully on April 5, 2025 at the age of 78. She was surrounded by the love of her family in her final moments. Born on December 13, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, Maria lived a life full of love, kindness, and wisdom. She was a woman of strength, grace, and warmth who cherished her family above all else. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support made her a pillar of her family and a beloved friend to all who knew her. Maria was known for her generosity, always ready with a helping hand, a listening ear, or a story that would make you laugh. She had an unparalleled ability to make every person feel special and valued. Whether she was spending time with her children, grandchildren, or great- grandchildren, she brought joy, comfort, and wisdom into every moment. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with her compassion, humor, and unwavering love. Her love for Bingo, Soap Operas, and crafts will live on through her families memories and her love of Christmas, cooking for her family and friends will live on forever in our hearts and our bellies. Her number one love was her family, she surrounded herself on a daily basis with the love of the countless people whose lives she touched, from Las Vegas to Cruising the Caribbean, to her Summer House in Maine. As long as She had her Husband Matthew by her side she was ready to go anywhere. She is Survived by her husband Matthew Vincent Lanzer of 53 Years of Wedded Bliss, her sister Carol Alaimo of Brooklyn, New York. She also leaves behind her children, Tina Marie Kenny of Myrtle Beach, SC; Elizabeth Lanzer of Long Island, New York.; Matthew and Diana Lanzer of Richmond, VA. Her Godson James Curd of Staten Island, New York. Her grandchildren, Brian and Kara Kenny, Dominick Kenny, Tonianne and Josh Wilson, Joseph Kenny, Nicholas Kenny, David and Lida Dzadovsky, Justin Dzadovsky, Krista Lanzer, and Kevin and Tori Lanzer; along with her great-grandchildren, Nicholas Kenny, Theresa Kenny, Christopher Kenny, Joseph James Wilson, Nora Dzadovsky, Chandler. As well as numerous extended family, Everyone knew Maria as Grandma, not theirs by birth but THEIR Grandma by Choice including Donna and Joel Watford, Michelle and Tom Fee, Brittany, Eric, Eliza and Dianna Landgraff and Amber, Zaylee, and Madden Burris. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home in Conway, SC to celebrate and commemorate her life.
