Marina Rangel Guajardo Marina "Minnie" Rangel Guajardo age 80, of Surfside Beach, SC passed away in peace at her home on Tuesday, July 29, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Minnie was born January 18, 1935 in Brownsville, TX to the late Raul Rangel and Elena Gomez Rangel. Minnie was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was deeply loved by her devoted family. She is preceded in death by her husband, MSgt. Ceferino Rudolfo Guajardo, US Air Force (Retired) and is survived by: her four siblings; Matilda Leal, Gaston Rangel, Raymundo Rangel and George Rangel; her six children, Ceferino R. "Rudy" Guajardo, III and his wife Debbie of Florence, SC, Mario A. "Al" Guajardo and his wife Denise of Surfside Beach, SC, Teresa M. "Terri" Davis and her husband Michael of Murrells Inlet, SC, Mary A. Guajardo of Surfside Beach, SC, Patricia A. "Patti" Shoemaker and her husband Scott of Surfside Beach, SC and Cynthia D. "Cindi" Truelove and her husband John of Venice, FL; her eleven grandchildren, Christopher Guajardo, Tiffanie Guajardo Edge and her husband Wylan, Savannah Guajardo, Jillian Davis Ray and her husband Joey, Joshua Shoemaker and his wife Mandi, Danielle Shoemaker Blanchard and her husband Chad, James Shoemaker and his wife Jessica, JulieAnn Shoemaker, Whitney Rogers Helton, Katie Truelove, Chandler Truelove; and her seven great-grandchildren, Amber Clay, Alex Baldwin, Bronson Shoemaker, Eden Blanchard, Fox Blanchard, Mario Shoemaker and Trooper Edge. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel with Pastor Tim Melton presiding. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the reception center at Goldfinch Funeral Home. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude for those friends who faithfully visited, sent cards, brought flowers, phoned or prepared meals for Minnie over the last three years. Those acts of love and kindness were a blessing to her.
