Conway... Sadly, we announce the passing of our Dear Father, Mark Russell Lavezzo. He was born on February 6, 1952, and passed on Saturday, January 14th, at his home in Conway, S.C at the age of 70. Mark was raised in upstate N.Y. in the Kingston area before moving with his first wife Susan, to Middletown, N.J. In 1986, he and Susan moved to Jackson, N.J. with their two children, David and Jennifer. He later moved to Bricktown N.J. where he resided for over 20 years. Later, he spent nearly 20 years with his long-time girlfriend, Debbie Britton. Mark spent his adult life working for Pathmark and most recently, the Geraldine Thompson Nursing Home, before retiring in 2012. Mark had several passions in life including New York Giants football, whale watching, & all genres of music. He always believed that his contribution to society was donating blood. He donated well over 100 times in New Jersey as well as in South Carolina. He was a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Foundation as well. The only thing Mark loved more than his beloved NY Giants, was his friends and family. He always said, "e; I don't need 100 friends, I only need a few good friends" and that he had. He leaves behind his best friend of over 40 years, Donnie and wife Cindy, as well as new SC friends Claude & Judy and Rafael. He adored and cherished his 6 grandchildren, Tyler, Chelsea, Brooke, Grace, Emma, & Ava. He relished in the pictures oft them and the stories about work, school and their sports. He always told them, and anyone else who would listen, how proud he was of them! Mark was an extraordinary conversationalist. Since his passing, those who were closest to him, all shared the same sentiment, "I'm going to miss our conversations." Mark was predeceased by his parents Grace & John McCullough, sister Maryann Abraham and brother Bobby McCullough. Mark was survived by his children, David and wife Jennifer; Jennifer and husband Marc; his grandchildren, Tyler, Chelsea, Brooke, Grace, Emma, & Ava; sisters Andy Wolf and husband Wayne, Doris Ramirez, Cathy Mcmickle; brother John McCullough and wife Patty, sister-in-law Lucy McCullough, and several nieces and nephews.
