Conway...Martha Ann Strickland, age 82, wife of the late Enoch Curtis Strickland, Sr., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Agape Hospice Care Center. Mrs. Strickland was born in Conway, a daughter of the late John Tolar Veren and Lannie Larrimore Vereen. Mrs. Strickland was a devoted member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church and loved her church family immensely. She was a loving caregiver to her mother, not only was she our mother, but also, she was our Rock. Mrs. Martha Ann was always there in time of sorrow, sickness and need. She had a big heart and was always willing to help others, putting them before herself. Mrs. Martha Ann touched the lives of many people with her generosity, integrity and compassion. She will remembered and missed daily. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Gail Martin; four brothers and one sister. Surviving are two sons, Enoch Curtis Strickland, Jr. and wife Lucinda and Douglas Strickland and wife Lynn all of Conway; two daughters, Cynthia Marie Strickland of West Columbia and Patricia Ann Hardwick and husband John of Conway; eleven grandchildren, Tammy Michelle Tindall, Enoch Curtis Strickland, III, Megan Lichelle Orgera, Christy Lynn Randolph, Eddie Lee Martin, Danny Scott Hardwick, Jennifer Ann Scialabba, Angela Jill Karchner, Robert Curtis Sword, Cathy Lee Sword, and Kimberly "Kimee" Marie Strickland; nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, Leona McCormick of Conway and Elizabeth Knights of Stanley, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Lindsay Brown and Rev. Lee Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
