Charleston… Mary Grace Lewis, age 102, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Born February 20, 1922, in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Everette Tally Skipper and the late Mattie Ann Lewis. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Cherokee Place Methodist Church in North Charleston. She loved playing Bingo, gardening, bowling, and traveling with her church friends. Mrs. Lewis worked as a seamstress for Levi's Manufacturing Company. Along with her parents, Mrs. Lewis was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Alton W. Lewis, Jr.; her son, Billy Lewis; a grandson, Marshall Sessions; her son-in-law, Pat Barber; four sisters; and 2 brothers. Surviving are her daughter, Judy Lewis Barber; three grandchildren, Lynne Holland (Bill), Bryan Lewis (Susie), and Joanna Long (Bobby); two great grandchildren, Emily Gurka (Stephen) and Lauren Lewis; a great great grandchild due in May, Millie Lyn; and a sister, Betty Jo Causey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Danny Banks officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Lewis' memory to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
