Rev. Everett W. Ingram, Jr., age 72, of Red Fox Circle, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at his residence following an illness. Rev. Ingram was born in South Boston, Va., a son of the late Everett W. Ingram, Sr. and Virginia Lee Coffman Ingram. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served with NATO for two years in Italy. He had the distinction of being baptized in the Mediterranean Sea at Puteoli, where the Apostle Paul once visited. He attended Emmanuel College, Columbia Bible College and Holmes Theological Seminary. Rev. Ingram pastored Hemingway Pentecostal Holiness Church, Great Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lexington Pentecostal Holiness Church, Darlington Pentecostal Holiness Church, Bible Temple in Toledo, Ohio, Church of the Comforter in Tucker, GA., Ebenezer Pentecostal Holiness Church in Congaree, SC, Socastee Pentecostal Holiness Church and East Conway Pentecostal Holiness Church. Rev. Ingram served six years as Superintendent of the Great Lakes Conference. In 1988, he founded Coastal Worship Center, where he served as pastor for nine years. He was a member of the SC IPHC. Because of poor health, he retired from the pastorate in 2003. Since that time, he sought a way to continue his ministry of witnessing for Jesus. He visited a number of churches distributing bumper stickers that read, "JESUS IS THE ONLY SAVIOR" Many of these are still available for those who might desire one. He was predeceased by a sister, Lois Simmons and two brothers, Rev. Bill Ingram and Charles Ingram. He is survived by his wife, Anne Nowlin Ingram of Myrtle Beach: two sons, Everett Walter "Walt" Ingram, III and his wife, Dianne of Leesville and Rev. David Ingram and his wife, Kathy of Lake City: one daughter, Cindy Tate and her husband, Rick of Hurricane Mills, Tenn.:eight grandchildren, E.W. IV " Rhett" and his wife, Kelly, Nikki Price and her husband, Ben, Lauren Tate, Kelly Ingram, Zach Tate, Jordan Ingram, Davey Ingram and Cheney Ingram: two great grandsons, Jackson Lee Ingram and Everett Mason Price: one brother, Kenneth Ray Ingram of Virginia Beach, VA.,; three sisters, Elizabeth Frazier of Greenville, SC, Ora May Simpkins of Alexandrea, VA. and Catherine Loftis of Greer, SC.; a special niece/sister in-law, Yvonne Ingram of Myrtle Beach. Funeral services, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel will be held 2:00 PM Saturday from Coastal Worship Center, located on the corner of Hwy 544 and Forestbrook Rd., with Rev. Terry Fowler, Rev. Jesse Simmons, Rev. Jerry Howell and Rev. Rick Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, his wishes were that memorials be sent to East Conway Pentecostal Holiness Church Misssions Fund, 309 Old Hwy 544, Conway, SC 29560 or to Mercy Hospice of Horry County, PO Box 50640, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
