Sharon Ann (DeLuke) Musiol went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2024 after a difficult battle with lung cancer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all those who crossed paths with her. Sharon was born on May 16, 1943 and grew up in Niagara Falls, New York along with her three siblings. She was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High School and began an adventurous life in 1962 when she earned her wings as an American Airlines stewardess in Fort Worth, Texas. Her first assignment was to the airline’s AstroJets fleet flying out of New York City. While working in this role, she met her future husband, Joe, and they married in June of 1966 after his graduation from the United States Military Academy. They remained dedicated to each other for the next 58 years. After raising her children, Sharon returned to the airline industry as a travel agent in Kansas, Virginia and Missouri. She was always ready to fly and visit with her family. Whether it was her parents, siblings, children and especially grandchildren, Sharon found the time to spend with those she loved the most. Drawing from an Italian heritage, her grandchildren enjoyed her cooking, sense of humor, and willingness to try something new. For the past seven years, Joe and Sharon resided in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where they enjoyed the warm weather, numerous golf courses, and visiting family members. Sharon is survived by her husband, Joseph John Musiol (St. Louis, MO), her sister Patricia Malacarne (Ron, Niagara Falls, NY), her brothers Pete DeLuke (Cindy, Sidney, OH) and Dan DeLuke (Esta, Niagara Falls, NY), her children Kim Fair (Mansfield, TX) and Mike Musiol (Leigh Ann, Pawleys Island, SC), her grandchildren Elizabeth Fair (Sam, Alvarado, TX), Nick Fair (Venus, TX), CPT Joey Musiol (Alyssa, Gainesville, GA), 1LT Josh Musiol (Savannah, GA), and Jenny Musiol (Athens, GA), as well as her great grandson Sam Musiol (Gainesville, GA) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Bernice DeLuke, and her grandson, Mikey Musiol. Sharon will be honored on Friday, 23 August at 11 am, at Saint Andrew’s Catholic Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and interred in the Florence National Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina. A visitation will be held at the Goldfinch Funeral Home, 325 Hinson Drive in Myrtle Beach, on Thursday, 22 August, from 4 to 6 pm.
