William "Bill" Christian Schneider, 86, of North Myrtle Beach, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina. He left this world on his 86th birthday and 59th wedding anniversary. Bill was born on January 21, 1938, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Katherine Schneider. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Ann Whitehead, and his brother, John T. Schneider. Bill led a life marked by a strong work ethic and a diverse range of skills. Over the years, he excelled in various professions, including salesman, school bus driver, tax accountant, and a founding member of the family catering company, where he served as the Chief Financial Officer. As a young man, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Bill was an active member of the Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church serving as a member in their conference for over 30 years. In his leisure time, he found joy in cooking, photography, and reading history books. His children fondly remember his advice: "Make a plan and work the plan." Above all else, Bill cherished his family and valued spending time with them. He consistently prioritized family time, especially during holidays and family vacations. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather and great-grandfather. Bill is survived by his loving family, who will forever cherish his memory. Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years, Linda L. Schneider; his daughter, Billie C. Schneider, and her husband, Tim; his son, John R. Schneider, and his wife, Erin; his son, Tim Schneider, and his wife, Stefanie; his daughter, Jayme Schneider; his sister, Isabelle Yanez, and her husband, Ralph; his eight grandchildren, Samantha, Allayna, Emily, Bailey, Jonah, Layla, Garrick, and Bentley; his three great-grandchildren, Madison, Payton, and Charlotte; his beloved dog, Max; as well as numerous extended family members and many friends. A funeral service to honor Bill's life will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery Mausoleum Indoor Chapel, located at 1000 Hwy 544, Conway, SC, 29526. Following the service, entombment will take place immediately. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a memorial donation in Bill's honor to the charity of your choice. The Goldfinch Funeral Home of Conway is overseeing the arrangements and is honored to serve the family during this time of remembrance.
