William "Bill" Graef age 73, died on Friday, April 5, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Sheboygan, WI to the late Victor and Ida Graef. Bill was a terrific husband and father and relished activities involving his family and friends. Whether on a golf course, playing chess, or sitting around a card table, Bill always brought his unique combination of enthusiasm, humor, and friendly competition. Bill was an active member of the Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church parish, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Bill was a Faithful Navigator and Corp Commander of Grand Strand Assembly 2107, Trustee and Corp Commander of Fr. Phil Grant Assembly 3272, and member of Council 11028 of the Knights of Columbus. Bill will be sorely missed by his family and the hundreds of friends and acquaintances whose lives he impacted. Survivors include his wife Mary Graef of Pawleys Island; children Michael Graef and his wife Elaine of Scarborough, ME, David Graef and his wife Kimberlee of Southington, CT, Susan Graef of Surfside Beach, SC, Laurie Graef Kennedy and her husband Kyle of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Kaylee, Lauren, Jack, Karter and Samantha; his sister Nancy Woyak and her husband Alfred; brothers-in-law William Dierking and his wife Diane, Tony Berken and his wife Nancy and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his brother Victor Lee Graef and sister-in-law Judith Dierking. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. A Remembrance Gathering will take place prior to the Memorial Service at 10:30 AM in Classrooms 1&2 of the Parish Life Center.
