Conway… Wilmina Skipper, age 85, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home with her family on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Mrs. Skipper was born in Conway a daughter of the late Arthur Rabon and the late Mary Jane Anderson Rabon. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed celebrating Halloween and birthdays with her family. Mrs. Skipper loved gardening, puzzles, reading, sunning, decorating, and baking. She was also an avid traveler and enjoyed taking trips with her sisters. Mrs. Skipper will be remembered as an independent woman and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and mother-in-law. Her pride and joy was her dog, Jax, and she was a member of Pisgah Global Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Skipper was predeceased by her husband, Richard Skipper; three brothers, Burroughs Rabon, Douglas Rabon, and Jimmy Rabon; and two sisters, Hazel Kinney and Tammy Pearson. Survivors include four children, Richard Skipper (Daniel Sherman) of New York, Debbie Johnson (Craig) of Galivants Ferry, Emery Skipper of Conway, and John Skipper (Stephanie) of Conway; eight grandchildren, Lakyn Skipper, Jonathon Skipper (Chelsea), Erik Skipper, Cassie Martin (Brett), Seals Johnson (Carrie), Ema Huffman (Keiffer), Morrigan Skipper and Aedan Skipper; two great grandchildren, Doc Martin and Gunner Martin; two brothers, Robert Rabon and Paul Rabon; and nine sisters, Christine Barnhill, Helen Kinney, Libby Russell, Addie Bullard, Phyllis Stephens, Jean Martin (Laverne), Sandra Elvis (Ray), Becky Newell, Brenda Richardson (Marion). Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. David Stevens and Mr. Glenn Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Global Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
