Albert Lewis Houchin

August 20, 1943 - February 3, 2021

Albert Lewis Houchin age 77, passed away at home on February 3, 2021, surrounded by his family peacefully due to liver failure. Mr. Houchin was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grand-father, uncle and friend. He went to college and served our country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hutchen worked at RCA and Harmon Becker Automotive before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching them grow. He was a graduate from Pleasure Ridge Park in Kentucky. Mr. Houchin also enjoyed boating, listening to Patsy Cline and spending time with his beautiful wife of 56 years, Nancy C. Houchin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Martha Houchin and his Uncle Earl Creviston. In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter; Dawn R. McNeely and husband Mike of Murrells Inlet, SC, sons; Brian Houchin and wife Jackie of Martinsville, IN. and Mathew Houchin and his wife Tara of Martinsville, IN., grandchildren; Cody and Caleigh McNeely, Crystal Edwards, Nick, Stephanie and Brian, Taya, AJ and Jack Houchin, great-grandchildren; Darren Carver, Madison Collins and Miah Garber and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service will be held at Goldfinch Funeral home, Beach Chapel at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Donations maybe made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is handling arrangements.
