Ann Elizabeth Cintron, age 77, of Surfside Beach, SC passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her home. Ann was born on February 28, 1944 in New York, New York, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Walsh. She lived in Manhattan with her beloved husband, Sam, and four kids until they relocated to Union Beach, NJ in the late 60s where they raised their family and Ann achieved her dream of becoming an RN. One of her great joys in life was caring for the residents of the Arnold Walter Nursing Home in Hazlet, NJ. She continued her work with the elderly after moving to Surfside Beach in 2000. To know Ann was to love her. A truly exceptional woman, Ann taught us to care for people and to love others unconditionally. She had the ability to find joy in all the places life brought her, and she had a talent for celebrating the people around her in big and small ways. Full of grace and selflessness, Ann worked hard and always kept her faith in God. To Ann, her family was the best part of her life, and spending time with them was what living was all about. She is survived by daughters, Margaret Cintron (Lynn Rapp) and Elizabeth Caponigro (Mark); two sons, Samuel Cintron (Ishmael Ramirez de Cintron) and Joseph Cintron (Josephine); 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Walsh and Patrick Walsh (Barbara); and sister, Margaret O’Reilly (James). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Water of Life, Smile Train, or Faith Chapel of Union Beach, NJ.
