January 12, 1966 - May 1, 2021
Brendan Joseph Curran, 55, of Myrtle Beach, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 1, 2021. Brendan was born January 12, 1966 in Woodside, Queens, New York, a son of the late Patrick and Elizabeth Curran. Brendan moved to Myrtle Beach 17 years ago and started his own business (Trinity Contracting) after leaving the Carpenter’s Union Local #608 in Manhattan, which he was a part of for 20 years. He was a highly skilled and talented craftsmen that took great pride in his work. His ambition in life for new projects had no limits. He had a quick wit and was well known for his sense of humor and loved telling his stories. He loved Irish music with a cold bottle of Bud and an ice-cold glass. His favorite hobbies were shooting pool, playing chess and darts. He loved his friends and family to the bottom of his soul and would do anything for them. Brendan was a savior for many, a warrior angel, kind and patient. His life was full of love and labor. He was a huge animal lover and he spent a lot of his free time with his cat Tigger and his dog Bria. He was taken from us too soon. He will be missed by many. Brendan has touched the hearts of so many people. He had friends on both sides of the pond; in Ireland and the USA. We love you Brendan always and forever in our hearts and souls. Brendan is survived by a large and loving family, including his devoted wife Katrina, his son Colin, in-laws Ginger and Ronny, his brothers and sisters and in-laws Kevin and Susie, Emmett and Diane, Brian and Carol, Sean and Lisa, Deidre and Josie, Oliver and Eileen, Anne and Nuala, his goddaughter Kaitlin, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 5 from 2 – 4 PM and again from 7 – 9 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home – Carolina Forest Chapel (325 Hinson Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 11 AM, also at Goldfinch Funeral Home, with Deacon Robert Barlow officiating.
