Buck Johnson

Loris... Buck L. Johnson, age 77, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. Buck was born in Tabor City, NC a son of the late Lester and Bessie Fowler Johnson. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and was the best companion a wife could have. Buck enjoyed fishing and spent his life as a builder, leaving a legacy of trained contractors. He was predeceased by one sister, Doris Shelley, and one brother, Jackie Johnson. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jane B. Johnson of Loris, one son, Darrell Johnson and his wife Wendy of Loris, one daughter, Darlene Hardee of Loris, two sisters, Patsy Johnson of Tabor City, NC, and Joann Stinson and her husband Jim of North Augusta, one brother, Tony Johnson and his wife Teresa of Tabor City, NC, four grandsons, Ashley Hardee and his wife Jill, Justin Johnson, Adam Johnson, and Walker Langley and his fiance Richelle, and three great-grandchildren, Jaidyn Hardee, Ember Hardee, and Easton Hardee. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday, June 16, 2014 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel with Rev. Andy Bell officiating. Committal services will follow in the Twin City Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
