    Carl Edward Walz

    January 20, 1952 - July 9, 2020

    Conway… Carl Edward Walz, 68, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020. Born January 20, 1952 in Peekskill, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Loretta Kennedy Walz. Mr. Walz enjoyed life. He lived it to the fullest and was always "balls to the wall". He was a hardworking man. He was a retired locomotive engineer from Metro North Railroad and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Walz was also a licensed ham radio operator. Mr. Walz loved his wife, who was always devoted to him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved golfing, hunting, skiing, motorcycles, playing guitar, and camping. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Richard Walz. Surviving are his wife Janice Walz of Conway; two sons, Gregory Walz (Lisa) of Poughkeepsie, NY and Christopher Walz (Andrea) of Green Sea, SC; 8 grandchildren, Daniel Atwell, Christopher Walz, Jr., Alexus Walz, Kaylee Leonard, Olivia Leonard, Benjamin Walz, Isaac Walz, and Liam Walz; one brother, John Walz (Laura) of Wappingers Falls, NY; his wife's twin sister, AKA his second wife, Adela Ronsani (Angelo); a brother-in-law, Adam Nowik (Elizabeth); nieces and nephews, Rachel Ronsani (John Knighton), Anthony Ronsani (Brittany), Rory Nowik, Scott Holmes, Meaghan Jensen, and Leah Hall; a great nephew, Joshua Ronsani; a great niece, Adrianna Knighton; and his close friends, Ray Salzear, Ralph DePinto, Big Steve Nevelle, Phil Gambelli, Tim Walton, Bruce Gibson, Joe Cannistra, and Willie Costigan; and all of his Shrub Oak Alumni. A private service for the family as well as a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date.
