Christopher (Chris) Sheridan of Surfside Beach SC, formerly of Cresskill NJ, passed away on December 30, 2020. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Diane, his children, Terry (and Steve) Powell of Montvale NJ, Laurel (and James) Brennan of Virginia Beach Va, Stacy (and Sean) Oppelt of Murrells Inlet SC, AnneMarie Sheridan of Myrtle Beach SC, and Chris (and Shawna) Sheridan of Dumont NJ. He is the much-loved Pop-Pop to Jack, Ryan, Maddie, Sam, Dylan, Emmett, Sarah, Shaydan, Olivia, Abigail, and Nathaniel. He is survived by his sisters Nancy Blood of Tom’s River NJ, Mary Imhof-Wiget of Switzerland, and Judy Finore of Surfside Beach SC, and many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his sister Peggy, and brothers, Robert, Tommy, and Larry. Jesus was born so He would know the joy and pain of being human, lived to teach us how to love one another and died so he could welcome this beautiful man into His kingdom. Chris Sheridan was the best husband, dad, brother, father-in-law, pop-pop, uncle, friend and role model ever. He is loved beyond measure and missed beyond words, but he is at peace in the arms of his loving father. May we all live our lives in such a way that when we face our hardest times, even strangers feel our love and are moved to love us in return. May he rest in eternal peace knowing the legacy he leaves behind. He made us Sheridan strong and is with us always. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Murrells Inlet SC, at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 9th, 2021. Friends are invited to gather with the family after the funeral at Holiday Inn Oceanfront @ Surfside Beach (1601 N Ocean Blvd, Surfside Beach, SC 29575). In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
