Pawleys Island……. Clarence Arthur Burns age 86, loving husband, father and grandfather, died Thursday, March 25, 2022 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Justell, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Dewey and Daisy Burns. Clarence was an avid golfer, he was a gifted whistle and would wake up every morning whistling. He had a very great sense of humor and could make everyone laugh. He was a very happy, loving and successful man. He was in furniture sales and was the owner of Marion Home Center in Marion, Ohio from 1968 until 1993 until he closed the store. Afterwards he moved to Myrtle Beach in the summer of 1994. He was preceded by his first wife of 32 years, Carol Ann Scheff; a son, Colen Burns; a grandson, John Brandon Burns and a brother Curtis Brown. Survived by his wife and best friend, Gail Burns; children, Celeste Moser and her husband John of LaRue, Ohio, Constance Burns- Griffith of Obetz, Ohio, James Phillip Hyman and his wife Julie of Pamplico, SC, Cammy Conwy and her husband Ken of Conway, SC, Alexa McKenzie-Mason and her husband Abnathy. of Pawleys Island, SC: 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren brother, Larry Kinser, of Emerald Island, NC, David Kinser of Shipley, FL and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2022 at Goldfinch Funeral Home Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
