    Mr. Daniel Franklin Goff

    July 3, 1929 - January 17, 2020

    Conway… Daniel Franklin Goff, age 90, died peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2020. Born July 3, 1929 in Walstonburg, NC, Daniel was a son of the late Bennie Cooper Goff and Sadie Moore Goff. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Ayako Goff; one brother; and one son-in-law. Daniel was a loving husband and father. He and his wife, Ayako, were inseparable, and their companionship was filled with love, laughter and Atlanta Braves baseball games. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching boxing on television. Daniel was also a member of University Baptist Church and loved his Lord and Savior and found comfort and guidance in the Bible. Surviving are his four children: William T. Goff (Judy) of Conway; Linda Gail Sproles (Stephen) of Moore, SC; Audrey G. Skipper of Lexington, SC; and Trudy Edwards (Deryl) of Forest, VA; eight grandchildren: Shannon Kukulka (Steven); Jeremy Hardwick; Hillary Goff (Phil Ellis); Joel K. Skipper; Brandon Goff (Haylee); Bethany Delk (Brandon); Kristin S. Cole (Brian) and Joshua Roberts (Christa); eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Smith; and a brother, Cooper Goff. Daniel was a 20- year veteran of the Air Force and served in Korea and Vietnam. Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 20, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Brandon Delk officiating. Heartfelt appreciation is expressed for the support and care of his friends and church, and for his caregivers, Martha Schwarze, Trudy Miller, and Caroline Parsons, along with the staff of East Cooper Medical Center and Mt. Pleasant Manor, who have shown such grace and compassion during his illness. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
