    Dianne P. Mason

    January 30, 1948 - March 6, 2022

    Dianne Peace Mason, 74, of Mason Street passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her home in Socastee, South Carolina surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 30, 1948 in Woodruff, SC, a daughter to the late James Robert Peace and Vera Kate Putnam Godfrey. In addition to her mother and father, she is predeceased by her step-mother Kat Peace, step-father Alvin Godrey, daughter Rhonda Michelle “Micki” Godfrey, brother Kenneth Putnam, and sister Gail Manly. Dianne leaves behind her devoted spouse of 55 years, Larry Lee Mason. She is also survived by her four beloved daughters, Tammy Mason Rogers (Tony), LeAnn Mason, Dana Mason Gasque (Tony), and Kimberly Mason Konersman (Scott) and her six grandchildren Brittney Konersman Diley (Andrew), Gabrielle Michelle Brown, Jordan Scott Konersman, Caleb Elijah Brown, Jacob Anthony Gasque, and Hanna Grace Gasque. She is also survived by her sisters, Jimmie Allen of Duncan, SC and Vicky Lida of Woodruff, SC. She and her high-school sweetheart, Larry, were married in 1966. They began their family shortly thereafter and were blessed to raise their daughters in the Socastee Community. They enjoyed playing cards, camping, traveling, cruising, snow in the Great Smoky Mountains, bowling, Atlanta Braves Baseball, Carolina Gamecock Football, Nascar Racing, and supporting their children in all of their many activities. She was the executive assistant for Mason’s Body Shop and Wrecker Service for 27 years. She was also the Socastee Family Worship Center, previously known as the Socastee Pentecostal Holiness Church, church secretary as a board member for more than 25 years and participated religiously in the Church Choir, Women’s Ministries, Children’s Church and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was also the secretary for the Socastee High School Class of 1966 Alumni Association for 55 years. For friends and family, visitation will be at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 5:30pm-7:30pm and on Wednesday from 9:00am until service time at the church. Funeral services will be held at Socastee Family Worship Center located at 3911 Socastee Blvd., on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 beginning at 10:00am. Entombment will immediately follow services at Hillcrest Cemetery. A special thanks to Heartland/Promedica Hospice for being so kind, gentle, and respectful during our time of need. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or via their website at www.act.alz.org.
