Eugene Bryan Royals Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Eugene Bryan Royals died early Tuesday morning with his family by his side. Born and raised in Loris South Carolina he was a son of John and Erolake Royals. Gene served in the US Air Force which Kickstarted his 20 year electrical career with GTE. He then started Royals professional pest control that he successfully ran for 20+ years. He loved serving our Lord and Savior in between his rounds of golf. Serving as an elder in church, Gene had a gift for teaching people about Grace. He was very involved with his community becoming president of Laurens country club and voted man of the year with the United Way. In addition to his parents, Gene was predeceased by his sibling Helen Medlin. Survived by his loving wife Shirley of 65 years, his three daughters Pam and husband Wally Lee, Beth and husband Mark Scott and Hope with husband Brandon Crisp, four grandchildren Bryan,Isla,Taylor, Brooke, Six great grandchildren Bryan Matthew, Jesse, Luciann, Murray, Nancy, McCall, siblings Mildred Livingston, Margaret Royals and Kenneth Royals. Services will be held at Goldfinch funeral home beach chapel at 2:00 PM Friday, May 20, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1-2:00. Memorial contributions may be made in Gene’s name to dementia society of America or any organization near and dear to oneself.
