Gail M. Kent

Murrells Inlet, SC Gail M. Kent, passed away at the age of 81 on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Embrace Hospice House, with her son holding her hand. Gail was born June 8, 1939, in Drexel Hill, PA, the daughter of the late John Vernon and Hazel Catherine Schatz Webster. Gail was a spitfire who spoke her mind. She could be a little stubborn but she was a very honest and loyal friend. She and her late husband Bobby loved to golf; one of the main reasons they moved to Murrells Inlet, SC, in 1999. She and Bobby also loved to travel, with some of her favorite places being, their cruise to Alaska, Hawaii, and Ireland. She could spend an entire day doing crossword puzzles. Gail enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Gail was preceded in death by her son Frankie Bogardus in 1977; her husband of almost 50 years, Robert “Bobby” Kent in 2019, and her sister, Jean Courtney in 2010 She is survived by her son David Bogardus and wife Debra of North East, Maryland; granddaughters Devin and Lauren Bogardus; brother Bill Webster and his wife Rose; all of Delaware County, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is assisting the family.
