James Paul McMahon, Sr. was born in Brockton, Massachusetts on May 10, 1935. He is predeceased by his wife, Sally Donihee McMahon and his siblings, John Littlefield, Margaret “Peggy” Littlefield Smith and Richard McMahon. Jim proudly served in the U.S. navy. Jim and Sally resided in Willimantic Connecticut where they raised 4 children. They were married 41 years. He worked at the University of Connecticut. Jim enjoyed working at the university. He always said he was a lucky man because he did not work a day he was at UConn, that UConn paid him to do what he loved. He enjoyed being a part of The University of Connecticut and The Huskies. Jim was a member of The Elks Lodge #1311. As an active member of the lodge, he was a volunteer, Exalted Ruler and then as District Deputy. He moved to Myrtle Beach SC and joined the Murrells Inlet Elks Lodge #2797. Jim said he had the luck of the Irish, He had found love twice in his life. He married Helena Flanders. They were together for 16 years. Jim leaves his wife, Helena Flanders McMahon, his daughter Natalie (McMahon) Donovan and her husband John Donovan, his sons James McMahon, Jr and his wife Patricia Chesmer McMahon, Shawn McMahon and his wife Patricia Sabia McMahon and Craig McMahon and his wife Suzanne Davoll McMahon. He also leaves his 5 stepchildren, Timothy Flanders and his wife Carolanne Flanders, Jayme Flanders and his wife Lena Flanders, Christina Hughes, and Michele Flanders and her partner, Wayne Dylis Jim leaves 24 grandchildren and 14 great children. In addition, he leaves his extended family of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
