Jesse Lee Shehane Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jesse Lee Shehane, Jr. passed away peacefully with his wife Josie and best friend by his side on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at his residence. Born in Gastonia, NC, he was a son of the late Lela Belle and Jessie Lee Shehane, Sr. Jesse was a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served his country during WWII. He was an avid golfer and was very proud of his hole in one. He was a very giving and caring man and never met a stranger, was able to talk to anyone. He loved watching westerns and golf on TV. He was a health nut and he and Josie always had dogs and cats around. He was preceded in death by his son Jerry; brother, Harold and sister-in-law Pat; brother-in-law, Larry Young and his special and favorite dog Tippy. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Josie Shehane; his children, Vicki Lynn, and her husband Larry King of WV; Vivian Dutton of WV; Ray and his wife Cindy Eddy of NC; Patti Briemann of MD; 8 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Judy Young of Murrells Inlet; numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Jesse will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
