John A Eitel Sr.

John A. Eitel, Sr. age 81, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his residence. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of the late Adolf and Margarite Eitel. John was a U.S. Army veteran and was proud to have served our Country. He moved to Myrtle Beach 7 years ago and enjoyed helping people with any little chore or errand. He was known by some in the neighborhood as “one of the Mayors”. He looked forward to coffee with the guys most mornings. He loved to watch our two youngest neighbors play outdoors and when they would visit with us. John was a teamster for more than 36 years. He transported new cars and enjoyed his time on the road and had many interesting stories. He will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Eitel; a son, John Eitel, Jr. and his wife Nora of Henderson, NV; a daughter, Jamie Hunt and her husband Andrew of Elmwood Park, NJ; a stepson, Vincent Triggiani of Jersey City, NJ and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2021 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
